CHILDREN are invited to make their wishes come true by speaking to Santa Claus on Telstra payphones all over the region.<\/p>\n

Until Christmas Eve, children of all ages can phone Santa for free by dialling # HO HO HO (#46 46 46) on more than 14,000 payphones countrywide.<\/p>\n

From telling Santa what they want for Christmas to chatting about their favourite holiday tradition, children will be able to have a fun and engaging conversation with Santa at any time.<\/p>\n

The initiative also teaches children who may have not used a handset before how to use a payphone.<\/p>\n

Telstra executive Amy Childs said the telco was excited about helping to spread cheer all over the\u00a0country.<\/p>\n

“Through Telstra’s Free Calls to Santa hotline, kids not only get a festive experience but also a fun, hands-on way to learn an\u00a0essential skill.<\/p>\n

“For younger generations raised on smartphones, a payphone with a handset can feel unfamiliar, and teaching kids how to use one can be an important lifeline\u00a0in an emergency.”<\/p>\n

The big man in the red suit said he couldn’t wait to hear from all the children across Australian this Christmas season.<\/p>\n

“Ho ho ho! Whether you’re asking about the reindeer’s favourite snacks or the North Pole weather, I’m here to chat and share some festive magic.”<\/p>\n
