ARTWORKS will be on display in Jan Juc next month as the All About Art exhibition returns to the Surf Coast.<\/p>\n

Running from December 6 until December 8, the event will raise funds for the Peace of Mind Foundation, helping support those diagnosed with brain cancer.<\/p>\n

The exhibition, started three years ago by Roe Clapham, features the works of local artists across a range of mediums.<\/p>\n

A cocktail evening will help contribute to the total amount of funds donated, taking place on December 7, where 100 per cent of ticket sale proceeds will be donated to the foundation.<\/p>\n

All tickets will include a welcome drink, food, music and a chance to win an art piece in the live auction.<\/p>\n

Last year’s event raised more than $16,600, with the goal of this year’s event to raise even more.<\/p>\n

Chris Hoggard has been involved since the beginning of the exhibition, asking to be part of it three years ago and making a range of garden art including totem poles, planters, birds and more.<\/p>\n

The artist makes the choice to participate each year, even cancelling other events in support of the cause.<\/p>\n

Ms Hoggard said she enjoyed being able to get her work out into the Surf Coast community while supporting the foundation.<\/p>\n

“It’s always exciting to sell your work when you know somebody likes it enough to put their hard-earned cash into buying it.”<\/p>\n

Jennifer O’Sullivan has also been part of the All About Art exhibition since its beginning, showcasing her glass art.<\/p>\n

Ms O’Sullivan said the exhibition gives her an opportunity to meet those from the foundation and a chance to chat to people as an artist.<\/p>\n

“The Peace of Mind Foundation, I’d known about since I moved to the Surf Coast about 10 years ago, so I was really happy to get involved for\u00a0that cause.”<\/p>\n

As part of this year’s artworks, Ms O’Sullivan is creating a selection of waves in glass, making pieces those on the Surf Coast can relate to.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will take place at 22 Bells Boulevard, Jan Juc.<\/p>\n
