FIREWORKS will be going ahead in Lorne again this New Year’s Eve following a huge response from the local community and businesses.<\/p>\n

The Committee for Lorne and Lorne Business and Tourism Association announced this week they had secured enough funding through their online GoFundMe to enable two fireworks displays on December 31.<\/p>\n

The first show will be at 9.30pm allowing children and families to view the display, and the second “headline” midnight show will welcome in 2025.<\/p>\n

CFL member Pete Spring thanked the community and businesses for their overwhelming support.<\/p>\n

“It’s a great outcome for Lorne. The level of support has come far and wide which is just terrific,” he said.<\/p>\n

“A huge shoutout to Mantra Lorne, Great Ocean Road Real Estate and Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club in particular for being the three major supporters.<\/p>\n

“Gladly, everyone has really come to the party, and we can’t thank them enough.”<\/p>\n

Any leftover funds will go towards supporting another fireworks display in 2025-26.<\/p>\n
