THE Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority’s (GORCAPA) conservation management efforts have been given a major upgrade, signing a new lease of a depot at 15 Arthur Court in <\/span>Apollo Bay.<\/span><\/p>\n

The depot becomes GORCAPA’s base for its conservation and coastal operations teams, putting them in a better position to protect and manage land on the coastline.<\/p>\n

“This new depot is a game-changer, providing the resources we need to continue delivering on our land management responsibilities with greater efficiency and safety,” coastal operations manager Caleb Hurrell said.<\/p>\n

“We carefully evaluated several locations for the new depot, and we’re thrilled to have secured a site that meets our operational needs while offering our team an improved working environment.<\/p>\n

“It’s a fantastic way to close out 2024 on a positive note, and we’re looking forward to kicking off 2025 with improved facilities to help care for our iconic coastline.”<\/p>\n

The current depot at the Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve Depot was deemed not fit-for-purpose for coastal operations, prompting GORCAPA to make the move.<\/p>\n

The Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve depot supports operations at the Marengo Family Caravan Park and Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve Caravan Park.<\/p>\n
