{"id":153608,"date":"2025-01-19T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-18T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=153608"},"modified":"2025-01-16T12:16:11","modified_gmt":"2025-01-16T01:16:11","slug":"aireys-locks-in-2025-lineup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/living\/aireys-locks-in-2025-lineup\/","title":{"rendered":"Aireys locks in 2025 lineup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A BUMPER lineup has been locked in for the 19th edition of the Aireys Inlet Music Festival.<\/p>\n<p>The event, from March 14 to March 16, will feature a diverse range of acts across different genres of music.<\/p>\n<p>Indigenous Australian singer songwriter Kutcha Edwards will headline the festival.<\/p>\n<p>The 60-year-old R&amp;B\/soul artist is a multiple time Music Victoria Awards winner, 2023 Hall of Fame member and Melbourne Prize for Music recipient.<\/p>\n<p>Edwards, a member of the Stolen Generation, began his music career in 1991 as a member of the band Watbalimba. He joined the band Blackfire later in the 1990s.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/01\/WEBSITE_87403.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"810\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">C.W Stoneking will be a feature of the 2025 lineup. Photos: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He has released five studio albums, his latest <em>Circling Time<\/em> in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Edwards at Aireys Inlet will be Australian\/American blues artist C.W Stoneking, Melbourne singer Queenie, Hana &amp; Jesse Lee&#8217;s Bad Habits, Owelu Dreamhouse, The Counterfeit, Cool Out Sun, The Casanovas and Ben Mastwyk and his Millions.<\/p>\n<p>The Surf Coast region will also be showcased, with The Vasco Era, Indie Wylie, the Repores and the The Reef Ratswill on the bill.<\/p>\n<p>Kind Canoe, BABBA and Tendrils will also feature.<\/p>\n<p>The weekend will be held acrossr five venues in town including the Aireys Pub, The Lighthouse Caf\u00e9 and Sunnymead Hotel.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/01\/KulchaEdwards_57767.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kutcha Edwards will headline this year&#8217;s Aireys Inlet Music Festival.\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Festival creative director Patrick Donovan said the team could not wait to deliver the 2025 event.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This festival pulls together the best of the coastal community spirit, an incredibly broad mix of talented artists and the rugged beauty of the Surf Coast.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To provide such an experience to music lovers, all for $80 over three days is a credit to the town, the volunteers, and our funding partners, Music Victoria.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are on sale now via Trybooking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A BUMPER lineup has been locked in for the 19th edition of the Aireys Inlet Music Festival.
