TORQUAY Boardriders Club made a clean sweep at the East Coast Cashie surfing event last weekend on the Mornington Peninsula, winning both premier divisions.<\/p>\n

Xavier Huxtable and Ellie Harrison were victorious in the open men’s and women’s disciplines, ousting competitors from across the state to take home the $2,500 prize each.<\/p>\n

Club president Tully Wylie challenged Huxtable for the title and finished in second place.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Angela Ball placed in fourth, Willis Droomer secured a fifth place and Bella Wilson placed ninth.<\/p>\n

Mr Wylie said he was proud of his teammate’s efforts in tough conditions.<\/p>\n

“We had four out of six surfers in the final and to take out both divisions was amazing,” he said.<\/p>\n

“It showed the depth we have in our club, and we will be winning these events for a long time.”<\/p>\n

He added the club has highly competitive aspirations for the next 12 months.<\/p>\n

“Our goals are to continue putting in our best performances through the state events and to win the Australian Boardriders Battle in 2026.”<\/p>\n

Torquay Boardriders kicked off its 2025 season with its annual single fin classic this past weekend.<\/p>\n
