{"id":155119,"date":"2025-02-15T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=155119"},"modified":"2025-02-12T20:29:49","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T09:29:49","slug":"tigers-on-the-hunt-for-club-52-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/tigers-on-the-hunt-for-club-52-members\/","title":{"rendered":"Tigers on the hunt for Club 52 members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Torquay Tigers Football Club is seeking new people to join its most exclusive club loyalty program.<\/p>\n<p>Club 52 is an opportunity for 52 members to go into the inner sanctum of the Bellarine Football League powerhouse and gain special benefits.<\/p>\n<p>The program was created to replace the Tiger Drop fundraiser, which ended in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Club 52 also commemorates the year 1952, when the Torquay Tigers were established.<\/p>\n<p>Torquay Tigers vice-president Tim Carson said the program was a huge success during its inaugural season in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s essentially a coterie group, which gets 52 members into a room and we have functions and more.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It gives these members an opportunity to be a bit more involved and learn a bit more about the club.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s great value, and a great way to support the Torquay Tigers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This year, members will be able to bring one guest to an all-expenses paid &#8220;marque season launch&#8221; at the Beach Hotel on February 28.<\/p>\n<p>Guests include three-time premiership AFL player Dylan Grimes, former Australian netballer Madi Browne, former Western Bulldogs coach Brendan McCartney and five-time AFL Grand Final umpire Shaun Ryan.
