LOCAL band the Mojo Corner are busy putting the final touches on their performance as they gear up to take the stage at Jan Juc’s\u00a0Bird Rock on Saturday, March 8.<\/p>\n
The band is a tight knit group of friends who have performed shows across Australia and released their own albums.<\/p>\n
Band member Johnny Hawken said the coming show was going to be a “super fun” night for\u00a0attendees.<\/p>\n
“We played there last January and it was a sell-out, and we are expecting it to be again.<\/p>\n
“It’s just going to be a good night, a fun night and with a bit of a party atmosphere.<\/p>\n
“It’s always good to play a local gig and pack it full of familiar faces and not so familiar faces and play close to home.”<\/p>\n
The seven-piece band formed more than 10 years ago and after several iterations, is now made up of four singers, a harmonica player, keys player and guitarist.<\/p>\n
Throughout their career, the group has performed at\u00a0A Day on the Green, Queenscliff Music Festival, Echuca Winter Blues Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and more.<\/p>\n
Known for not sticking to one genre of music, The Mojo Corner have a unique style, playing everything from rock and blues through to soul and country.<\/p>\n
The Mojo Corner will be joined at their Jan Juc performance by special guest Madeliene Cope.<\/p>\n
The group is busy planning the rest of their year, including a gig in Canberra with fellow band 19-Twenty.<\/p>\n
