“We are going into our 10th year here and it’s been a huge part of our life.<\/p>\n
“Our staff and our customers are like a second family to us. It’s bittersweet.<\/p>\n
“I don’t know if we are quite ready, but we are in a way from the commitment of a seven-day business.”<\/p>\n
She said they looked forward to some relaxing beach time and doing “what normal people do on a nice day”.<\/p>\n
The town’s football and netball club will also take up plenty of their time, with Paul continuing in his role as president and Corinne aiming to be even more involved.<\/p>\n
She said seeing all the smiling faces each day would be the part she’d miss the most.<\/p>\n
“The people – customers, staff and community will be missed dearly.<\/p>\n
“Luckily though, we will retain it through the football and netball club, and the local traders’ association.<\/p>\n
“Gladly for us, we won’t be strangers here. It’s hard to leave something you love so much.”<\/p>\n
Handover with the new owners from Armstrong Creek will take place over the next fortnight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
