LOCAL groms will have the opportunity to mix it with their favourite World Surf League Championship Tour surfers at this year’s Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.<\/p>\n
The Bonsoy Board Caddy Program will give young surfers the chance to support the professional athletes during the event.<\/p>\n
As caddies, they will be entrusted with the responsibility of handling competitors boards before and after their heats.<\/p>\n
Since 2022, the program has given locals the chance to gain an invaluable hands-on experience at a WSL event.<\/p>\n
Australian Championship Tour surfer Isabella Nichols said she was a huge fan of the program and loves getting involved with it each year.<\/p>\n
“It’s so awesome to see the local community come together – seeing how much the kids enjoy it makes me think how incredible it would have been to experience something like this as a kid.”<\/p>\n
