AN IMMERSIVE surf, book and art exhibition will be rolled out again in Torquay over the next two weekends, following its inaugural launch success.<\/p>\n

Shape Shifter was presented for the first time at Feast Studios in Torquay last Saturday to a crowd of more than 400 people.<\/p>\n

The event featured a book launch, hand-crafted surfboards with artwork and live music celebrating the energy driving both surfing and art.<\/p>\n

Shape Shifter is a deep dive into local shaper Sergio Gomez’s journey in the shaping bay, detailing more than 30 years of surf trends, boards, fins and more.<\/p>\n

Mr Gomez was on hand throughout the event signing books and sharing insights from his esteemed career.<\/p>\n

Event co-ordinator Zachary Riggs said expectations were blown out of the park.<\/p>\n

“It went really really well, plenty of people came up, it had a great community family driven experience for everybody.<\/p>\n

“Sergio was super busy selling books, people were super happy to see him, while the artwork was well received, and people were really impressed with how it was all put together.”<\/p>\n

Locals can come and catch the exhibition and read all about Shape Shifter at Feast Studios both tomorrow (Saturday, May 3) and May 10 from 2pm onwards.<\/p>\n

Books, surfboards and artwork will all be for sale.<\/p>\n

“We will be back on this Saturday, and next Saturday too in the afternoon and early evening,” Mr Riggs said.<\/p>\n

“We encourage people to come and get a book, some artwork or one of everything.<\/p>\n

“We will have some entertainment too and a pizza truck out the front, and CBCO Brewing, too.”<\/p>\n
