{"id":161104,"date":"2025-05-10T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=161104"},"modified":"2025-05-09T14:40:48","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T04:40:48","slug":"mayfair-dazzles-at-bellbrae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/mayfair-dazzles-at-bellbrae\/","title":{"rendered":"Mayfair dazzles at Bellbrae"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THOUSANDS of people headed through the gates of Bellbrae Primary School for its annual Mayfair last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The much-loved community event aimed to raise vital funds to support the redevelopment of the school&#8217;s front playground.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/B07K3403-crowd-Bellb_71564.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Thousands of people attended the event throughout the day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It featured a huge range of stalls and activities for people of all ages as well as live entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees enjoyed venturing to the Bepop Circus, taking rides on the Harley Davidson sidecar bikes, smashing plates and playing laser tag, amongst many other fun festivities.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/B07K3337-AdaPhillips_71528.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ada Phillips behind the produce store.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The event also included an online silent auction which contributed to the success of the day.<\/p>\n<p>Mayfair organiser and school council president Emily Torney said it was a super successful day all round.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/B07K3250-JacobShaw-P_71645.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jacob Shaw at the ready for plate smashing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The weather turned on for us which was amazing, and the turnout was huge!<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All the food sold really well, the activities were very popular, and we had a great team of volunteers.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/B07K3275-FelicityLew_71584.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Felicity and Betsey Lewis, with water drop stilt walkers.
