VICTORIA Police has launched its fourth annual Victoria Police Community Sentiment Survey, asking the state’s residents to share their views and concerns.<\/p>\n

The survey will be conducted state-wide between June 1 and June 30.<\/p>\n

It asks Victorians to share their local safety concerns, perceptions of safety at various locations during the day and night, their experiences contacting police, their levels of comfort talking to police and PSOs and preferred engagement methods with police and PSOs outside of an emergency.<\/p>\n

It provides an opportunity for Victorians from all backgrounds to share with Victoria Police their safety concerns, how they would like to interact with police, and help inform ways in which police can\u00a0focus their efforts to prevent and deter crime.<\/p>\n

“The information gained from the community in completing this survey is vital to help local police understand the key safety concerns and how we can improve their experience when interacting with police,” Western Division 1 Superintendent Michael Reid said.<\/p>\n

The survey is anonymous and takes around five minutes to complete. Accessible formats to the survey\u00a0are available.<\/p>\n

Victoria Police will share a summary of key findings from the survey through the Engage Victoria website and on Victoria Police Eyewatch Facebook pages.<\/p>\n

More than 13,000 responses were received in the 2024 survey, an increase of more than 2000 from the 2023 survey.<\/p>\n

The survey is available on the Engage Victoria website throughout June.<\/p>\n
