WORKS to construct a new roundabout at the intersection of Coombes Road and Messmate Road have started this week, and aim to help improve safety for all road users.<\/p>\n

The intersection of the two main roads will be closed throughout construction which is estimated to take between six to eight weeks to complete.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to see this final part of the Coombes Road upgrade start,\u201d Cr Adrian Schonfelder said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to the community for everyone\u2019s continued patience and cooperation as we complete these important road safety improvements.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the works, Coombes Road will be open for local traffic only, and access to all local properties will be maintained.<\/p>\n

All through traffic should use Anglesea Road, Surf Coast Highway or Grossmans Road.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have noticed a significant drop in non-local traffic using Coombes Road. We appreciate drivers using alternative routes while these important works are underway,\u201d Cr Schonfelder said.<\/p>\n
