The search for local swing dancers is on as the Colac Otway Performing Arts & Cultural Centre (COPACC) prepares to host Damian Callinan\u2019s smash hit comedy Swing Man.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sixteen lucky lindy hoppers will get an opportunity to light up the stage and participate in a free swing dance workshop led by the stars of the show.<\/p>\n

COPACC manager Tamzin McLennan said that you didn\u2019t need to be a couple to get involved \u2013 singles could be partnered up on the night.<\/p>\n

To qualify for the free workshop, you only need to hold tickets to Swing Man, showing at COPACC on Friday, October 12 at 8pm.<\/p>\n

The workshop with dance teacher and Swing Man star Jeanne-Clare Storace, and Australian comedy superstar Damian Callinan, will take place from 6pm to 7pm on the performance night.<\/p>\n

Participants in the dance workshop are encouraged to join the Swing Man performers on stage for the last song, to be part of the show\u2019s finale.<\/p>\n

Ms McLennan encouraged the community to get involved in what would be a hilarious night of boogie woogie comedy.<\/p>\n

\u201cSwing Man follows Damian Callinan\u2019s journey from cutting up dance floors on his own, to learning how to swing dance,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are lots of entertaining twists along Damian\u2019s journey to swing dancing superstardom.\u201d<\/p>\n

To register your interest in the Swing Man dance workshops, make sure you have your ticket details handy when you contact COPACC on phone 5232 9418.<\/p>\n

Tickets to Swing Man start at $34 for adults, $31 concession and $20 for under 30s, groups of four or more get a 10 per cent discount.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
