It was the very first one, I&#8217;ve never run through a banner in my life and I&#8217;ve never had a guard of honour. It was very humbling,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 605px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/06\/2025June28_595751277_36278.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"605\" height=\"403\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Modewarre&#8217;s Emma Finch in front of her 350th milestone banner.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Finch, who has played most of her career in A grade, is married to Josh who became the Warriors\u2019 games record holder this year, notching 330 matches.<\/p>\n<p>The netballer said they had enjoyed reflecting on attaining their milestones in the same year and she feels they have reached them due to their joint love of the club.<\/p>\n<p>She explained how the duo had been able to work as a team to make it happen with three young children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI played a couple of games last year while Kenzie was just three or four months old and I&#8217;d be quickly breastfeeding right before the game to then jump on,\u201d Finch said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo [my] definitely preparation is very different. It&#8217;s not about game prep anymore.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the thing for me is training and gameplay is just my outlet, my little two or three hours a week, just for time for me and I can completely switch off with that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve got really good support in my mum and Josh&#8217;s mum and my sister-in-law who have the kids on the sideline.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 603px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/06\/2025June28_457250599_36269.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"603\" height=\"904\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Modewarre milestone netballer Emma Finch runs through the banner with her daughter Myla, 6.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The life member said the club had offered great support in helping look after her older two children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJosh and I, we get a babysitter [for Kenzie] every Thursday night to be able to train.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut that&#8217;s a compromise that we said we&#8217;d do because it&#8217;s just something that we love.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd we&#8217;ve always said we want to play while we can and play while the kids can see us and our kids love watching.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s great that the kids can see their parents still being active.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Finch was part of the 2011 A Grade premiership team and won both the league and club best and fairest awards in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/06\/2025June28_611951293_36327.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Milestone netballer Emma Finch (centre) with her Modewarre teammates and daughter Myla.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MODEWARRE celebrated stalwart Emma Finch\u2019s 350th milestone in style with a 43-36 BNL B grade win against Newcomb at Mount Moriac Reserve on Saturday, June 28.
