RECYCLING has been made easier in Armstrong Creek following the installation of a new TOMRA Cleanaway Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) at The Village Warralily Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n
The RVM will provide an efficient and rewarding way for locals and visitors to recycle eligible drink containers as part of Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme.<\/p>\n
The machine is a significant step in supporting Armstrong Creek’s sustainability efforts and will offer refunds via digital payment, retail vouchers, or give the option to donate to local charities.<\/p>\n
TOMRA Cleanaway chief executive officer James Dorney said the launch of the Warralily machine would empower the community to take part in sustainable initiatives.<\/p>\n
“Recycling should be simple and accessible for everyone, and this new RVM in Armstrong Creek reflects our commitment to making that a reality.<\/p>\n
“By providing convenient solutions, we hope to inspire more people to embrace recycling and contribute to a cleaner, greener future.<\/p>\n
“We’re excited to see the positive impact this machine will have on the Greater Geelong community.”<\/p>\n
To date, TORMA Cleanaway’s West Zone operation has collected more than 827 million containers, putting more than $82,700,000 back into the pockets of Victorians.<\/p>\n
As of Thursday last week, more than 1,000 charities, community groups and organisations have registered as CDS Vic donation partners with TOMRA Cleanaway in the West Zone.<\/p>\n
Residents can download the CDS Vic West Zone app to check on the live status of their local refund point, verify container eligibility, and manage and track container refunds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
