GEELONG will look to get back on track in its AFL home clash against St Kilda after two losses from its past three games.<\/p>\n
The fourth-placed Cats take on the 15th-placed Saints today (Sunday, July 20) at GMHBA Stadium, the start of a run home that only sees the side travel interstate once.<\/p>\n
Despite the contrast in ladder positions, Geelong will be well aware St Kilda have won four of its past six clashes, the most recent being an eight-point defeat at Marvel Stadium in Round 2. The last time the two played at GMHBA Stadium was early last year, when Geelong prevailed by eight points.<\/p>\n
Several Cats were below their best in their disappointing loss to GWS in Round 18, including Patrick Dangerfield, who had just seven disposals; and Max Holmes, who only gathered 17 disposals.<\/p>\n
The Saints lost a thriller against Sydney in Round 18, making it five defeats in a row. The team will be without forward Dan Butler, who suffered a gruesome elbow injury in the match.<\/p>\n
All eyes will be on St Kilda tagger Marcus Windhager, who significantly limited the effect of Holmes in the Round 2 matchup, holding him to 19 disposals, including just one in the first term.<\/p>\n
Geelong must be wary of Saints dashing half-back Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, who averages just shy of 30 disposals a game and can cause serious damage by foot.<\/p>\n
The clash will begin at the traditional Sunday timeslot of 1.10pm.<\/p>\n
