A CLEARANCE rate of 61 per cent was recorded over the weekend compared to 59 per cent last weekend and 73 per cent the same week last year.<\/p>\n

There were 595 auctions reported to the REIV, with 362 selling and 233 being passed in, 124 of those on a vendor bid.<\/p>\n

The strongest performers in August were the inner ring suburbs of Kensington and Canterbury which recorded 93.3 per cent and 86.7 per cent clearance rates respectively from 15 auctions each.<\/p>\n
