Photo: FACEBOOK\/FRIENDS OF ANGLESEA RIVER<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Friends of the Anglesea River co-founder Keith Shipton said it had been distressing for the community to see the marine life suffering.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a little bit of an unusual fish kill this time. In previous years, we woke up in the morning and most of our fish were belly up in the river and that was it \u2014 it was a clean-up. But this has been much more prolonged.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He estimates there have been six fish kill events over the last 25 years. But inaction ensures the cycle continues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s appalling and it\u2019s got to stop.
