{"id":169849,"date":"2025-09-14T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-13T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=169849"},"modified":"2025-09-10T22:36:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T12:36:15","slug":"torquay-view-club-to-form-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/torquay-view-club-to-form-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Torquay VIEW Club to form soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>VIEW Clubs of Australia is starting up a Torquay branch of the nationwide women&#8217;s club, and is inviting the community along to find out more.<\/p>\n<p>VIEW is a welcoming organisation that brings women from different backgrounds, life experiences and professions to provide opportunities for disadvantaged Australian children by supporting children&#8217;s education charity The Smith Family through volunteering and fundraising.<\/p>\n<p>It has more than 13,000 members across Australia and has been supporting The Smith Family for 65 years.<\/p>\n<p>Locally, there are already VIEW clubs in Drysdale, Point Lonsdale, two in Geelong and two in Ocean Grove.<\/p>\n<p>There is a one-time joining fee of $20 plus a yearly membership fee of $20.<\/p>\n<p>The Torquay VIEW Club will hold a meeting at the Torquay Bowls Club, 47 the Esplanade, Torquay on September 25 at 10.30am.
