A RECENTLY approved Early Learning Centre (ELC) in Armstrong Creek is among six projects worth a collective $490 million under development by TLC Healthcare.<\/p>\n

The City of Greater Geelong has granted a permit to the 138-place ELC, which will be built by December 2027 next to TLC’s existing Warralily Gardens<\/a> 180-bed aged care home and community medical and allied health centre.<\/p>\n

This new centre will connect with the aged care home, providing aged care residents and children direct access to the intergenerational Jellyfish Program and community medical centre services.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“We applaud the City of Greater Geelong for recognising the urgent need for quality early learning in Armstrong Creek \u2013 one of Victoria’s fastest growing areas \u2013 and for supporting TLC in delivering it,” TLC chief executive officer and managing director Lou Pascuzzi<\/a> said<\/p>\n

“With more than 2,000 children aged 0-4 years in the greater Armstrong Creek area and only 500 operational ELC places, this project will not only introduce additional, much-needed childcare places but will also deliver the proven benefits of TLC’s intergenerational care and learning<\/a> to local families and residents.”<\/p>\n

TLC’s five other projects will be located in Hallam – a $170 million centre to be completed by February 2028 – Noble Park, Ivanhoe, Whittlesea, and Black Rock.<\/p>\n
