Photo: PETER MARSHALL<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The same day, Ocean Mind held a World Mental Health Day paddle out at Cosy Corner.<\/p>\n<p>The event, which was attended by more than 20 people featured fun social games, a group surf session and a talking circle.<\/p>\n<p>Ocean Mind marketing manager Jack Balakas said it was important to celebrate the occasion in a wholesome way.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was great to have a morning of connecting with ourselves, nature, other people and doing some activities and having a good time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You can be doing everything in life \u2014 sleeping, eating and exercising, but if you&#8217;re not connecting to other people your mental wellbeing can only go so far.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For us, it was just about getting around World Mental Health Day and making sure we acknowledge the things around us and how they can benefit us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 602px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/IMG_3291_33223.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"401\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ocean Mind held a community paddle out in conjunction with World Mental Health Day.
