AIREYS Inlet Primary School will be a hive of excitement next weekend when the Aireys Fair returns to the school grounds.<\/p>\n
The fun-packed annual event features all the favourites including dodgem cars, the Cha Cha, animal farm, face painting, terrarium making and more, along with its newest attraction \u2013 the dunk tank.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for the Aireys Fair committee said behind all the excitement is the incredible effort and generosity of the local community.<\/p>\n
“Our volunteers have been working tirelessly for months \u2013 and in some cases all year \u2013 to make the fair possible.<\/p>\n
“From preparing hundreds of jars of homemade preserves to those who collect, sort and organise the much-loved book stall, their dedication and spirit are at the heart of what makes this event so special.”<\/p>\n
The fair often draws a crowd of more than 1,000 people from local families through to holidaymakers and is a vital fundraiser for the local primary school.<\/p>\n
Funds raised from the event will go directly towards enhancing the school environment and supporting programs for students.<\/p>\n
Community is a strong theme throughout the annual event, with organisers focused on bringing people together over the Melbourne Cup weekend.<\/p>\n
“It’s one of those special events that everyone looks forward to, where families, friends and visitors gather to enjoy the rides, stalls, food and fun that make Aireys Inlet such a wonderful place to live,” the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
“The Aireys Fair is about community, connection and shared joy, and with the support of our volunteers, sponsors and families, it continues to bring the coast to life in the best possible way.”<\/p>\n
Committee members have also thanked this year’s diamond sponsors who make hosting the fair a possibility.<\/p>\n
