A JAN Juc teacher is growing out his ginger moustache for a special cause this month.<\/p>\n

Kyle Bienefelt is participating in Movember in a bid to help change the face of men’s health.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old has his sights set on helping Western Heights College to become one of the top school fundraisers in the country.<\/p>\n

This will be his fifth time completing the men’s health challenge, a cause very close to his heart.<\/p>\n

“Most of us know a man who has struggled with mental health so it’s really important to support your mates,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I love doing Movember, particularly for the way it opens conversations, especially in the workplace and at sporting clubs.<\/p>\n

“Mental health is really important for men to talk about. It’s more challenging now than ever before with social media, expectations and the cost of living.<\/p>\n

“Movember encourages men to speak up and be physically active and it’s wonderful to do it in a big community.”<\/p>\n

Mr Bienefelt hopes to raise over $750 individually and hopes Western Heights College can hit the $2,000 mark.<\/p>\n

“It’s gathering a lot of momentum which is just fantastic,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We are currently in the top 20 in schools in Australia which is decent. St Joeys in Geelong is second which is just terrific.<\/p>\n

“As men we have a lot of power, power which can be used for good, so let’s use it.”<\/p>\n
