fly at Fishermans Beach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOCALS donned their best frocks and activewear at Fishermans Beach on the weekend for the inaugural Frocktober Fun Run, hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/living\/frocking-up-for-a-cause-close-to-home\/\">Torquay resident Peter Muldoon in honour of his late mother<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the Torquay Park Run crew, participants walked, ran or rode the 5km loop along the foreshore, embracing the event&#8217;s light-hearted spirit while supporting a serious cause.<\/p>\n<p>The community helped raise more than $4,000 for ovarian cancer research through the national Frocktober campaign.<\/p>\n<p>After crossing the finish line, many stayed on for coffee and conversation at the Salty Dog Cafe, celebrating a morning of connection, colour and purpose by the sea.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"rl-gallery-container rl-loading\" id=\"rl-gallery-container-1\" data-gallery_id=\"174254\"> <div
