SANTA Claus is riding his sleigh from the North Pole to the Surf Coast this weekend to share the festive spirit with locals and travellers alike.<\/p>\n

The big man in the red suit will be stationing himself under the canopies of Taylors Park and at Fisherman’s Beach to take photos with families, children and pets for the next four weekends.<\/p>\n

Torquay locals and business entrepreneurs Michele Scarce and Kath Brew are behind Surf Coast Santa, a concept which combines their love for the Surf Coast, the ocean, nature and Christmas.<\/p>\n

This year marks the third edition of the project, with the focus still on making Christmas memories come to life by the sea and in the bush.<\/p>\n

More than 100 local families will be taking part in the tradition this year.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ms Scarce said the local Christmas-loving pair couldn’t wait to start things off with their first bookings tomorrow (Saturday, November 22).<\/p>\n

“We will be doing two different setups this year, which will help to make each photo truly unique, special and beautiful.<\/p>\n

There’s lots of people who love the outdoors down here and I think the idea of going into a shopping mall is not a lot of people’s cup of tea.<\/p>\n

“Coming out to the park has just been so good. It opens us up to such a wide range of people in the community.<\/p>\n

“It’s such an enjoyable time, and we just love it and can’t wait to share it with the families.”<\/p>\n

Photos will be delivered via personalised online gallery before the next weekend (within six days).<\/p>\n
