NEXT year’s edition of the Torquay Rotary Motor Show has added some serious horsepower, with supercars to be added to the program.<\/p>\n

There is also the opportunity to take a ride of a lifetime, with the February 2026 event selling tickets to give passengers a lap of the local streets in one of the high-performance vehicles.<\/p>\n

Two of the four attractions \u2013 a 2025 McLaren 750S Spider and a 2023 Lamborghini Huracan STO \u2013 parked briefly at the show site at Elephant Walk on Tuesday this week.<\/p>\n

The two vehicles are among four supercars to appear at the February 2026 event.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

Torquay resident JJ Walia owns both vehicles and will bring them along again in February.<\/p>\n

“This is McLaren’s newest road-legal supercar, and Lamborghini’s last V10 naturally-aspirated beast,” he said.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I think what people will appreciate [as a passenger] is the actual engineering of the vehicle, how good it is to be in a road-legal car that’s actually designed for the track.<\/p>\n

“They’re both very capable on the track, but they’re track cars with number plates… acceleration, handling, agility; the visceral experience is amazing.”<\/p>\n

Torquay Rotary Motor Show organiser Trevor Hall said the event was also on the lookout for more volunteers to help out.<\/p>\n

“We’re looking for, in particular, people who have some automotive involvement, because we’re looking for judges,” he said.<\/p>\n

“But if they come along, we’ll give them some training. Another dozen volunteers would be ideal.”<\/p>\n

Each motor show typically needs between 75 and 80 volunteers to run smoothly.<\/p>\n

The Torquay Rotary Motor Show will take place at The Esplanade, Torquay on February 8, 2026.<\/p>\n
