SOME of Santa’s little helpers have been spotted in Winchelsea keeping an eye on things in the lead up to Christmas.<\/p>\n
Toy elves have been popping up in local shops, cafes and businesses across the town over the past few weeks.<\/p>\n
Growing Winchelsea’s inaugural Elf Trail concept brings families into local stores, celebrates community spirit and showcases Winchelsea as a destination for Christmas cheer.<\/p>\n
Each time a shopper finds a hidden elf, they have been tasked with jotting down its name on their entry passport for a chance to win fantastic prizes.<\/p>\n
Eleven businesses are already on board with the initiative, with options still open to businesses to enter before it wraps up on December 21.<\/p>\n
Organiser, Elaine Atkinson from Growing Winchelsea said the community support for the Elf Trail has been thrilling.<\/p>\n
“Our whole Christmas in Winchelsea schedule has just been fantastic, and the Carols and Twinkle Trees are also part of that.<\/p>\n
“Our hidden elves have been popping up everywhere at local businesses, it’s been really well received by our local children.”<\/p>\n
The Elf Trail will culminate in the Christmas Family barbecue and prize draw on December 21 at the Mud Hut.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
