SEVERAL shops in Gilbert Street in Torquay have been randomly damaged overnight.<\/p>\n

Damage is clearly visible in the front windows of the Mavis Mavis cafe, Wolf Store, Torquay Florist and Priceline Pharmacy.<\/p>\n

Torquay Police and Priceline Pharmacy have surveyed CCTV footage and are searching for the perpetrator.<\/p>\n

Mavis Mavis had their front door broken.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Priceline Pharmacy co-owner JJ Walia said the incident at his store occurred at 12.05am today (Saturday, December 13).<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone has copped it, unfortunately.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got CCTV cameras out the front everywhere and it appears to be the homeless man who has been roaming around Torquay with the trolley.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just random, but our insurance will be able to cover it, which is good.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Torquay Florist was targetted.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Ella from the Torquay Florist said the man at fault was known to the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a bit of an episode last night and it sounds like we weren\u2019t the worst.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s pretty gnarly, we haven\u2019t checked out the other businesses but it isn\u2019t good.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t have cameras, but we believe the police have the person. They are onto it.<\/p>\n
