“We’ve had athletes from beginners right through to people who have competed at regional and international levels.<\/p>\n
“Everyone’s really laid back, really cruisy and has a lot of fun.”<\/p>\n
A highlight of the weekend was the presentation of the ‘Spirit of the Games’ award, which this year went to the oldest duo ever to compete at Hells Bells.<\/p>\n
“We usually give it out to someone that’s done a really great job or someone who goes above and beyond,” Mr Russell said.<\/p>\n
“This year, we had a team called ‘CA132’. I was like, ‘That’s a really random name’, but it wasn’t until our DJ turned to me and told me that was their combined age! The male was 71 and the female was 61 and they didn’t even finish last.<\/p>\n
“They were great with everyone; they brought really fun vibes, and everyone got along with them really well.”<\/p>\n
