We\u2019re encouraging everyone to dress up again in their best race day attire for this year\u2019s event,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going to be a similar format to last year but bigger and better. It\u2019s $50 per head and that includes gourmet finger food available all day, three big screens throughout the restaurant broadcasting the cup and live entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to do our Melbourne Cup horse silent auction where people bid on each horse. Instead of having a sweep, first, second and third share the money from the auction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tom said first prize for fashions on the field this year was tickets to A Day on the Green with Florence and the Machine, kindly donated by Mt Duneed Estate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Day on the Green is sold out so it\u2019s a great prize. We will have live music during the day and entertainment later that evening, which will be confirmed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had over 100 people last year and have catered for a larger crowd this time around. There has already been a lot of interest because people love having an official celebration for the cup on the coast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe started it last year to give people somewhere to come, get dressed up and enjoy the race, the reception we got back was fantastic.
