THE Surf Coast region is well on its way to achieving its $70,000 fundraising goal for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.<\/p>\n
Local individuals and groups have begun their efforts to support young people in accessing high-quality healthcare close to home.<\/p>\n
Between now and April is critical for the fundraising appeal, with all funds supporting critical projects such as upgrading lifesaving equipment, offering additional training, and providing scholarships for healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n
RCH GFA volunteer area manager Peter McMahon said between now and April is critical to their fundraising and encouraged as many people as possible to throw their support behind the cause.<\/p>\n
“The unwavering support from regional communities such as ours has helped the RCH achieve incredible outcomes both in the hospital and in the Victorian regions.<\/p>\n
“The millions now allocated by the RCH to Victorian regions will continue to support vital projects aimed at enhancing patient care and equipping regional hospitals with much-needed resources.<\/p>\n
“We want to ensure that regional Victorians have access to high-quality healthcare closer to home.”<\/p>\n
The funds raised by last year’s Good Friday Appeal already have delivered life-changing improvements in south-west Victoria and will continue to positively impact countless families across regional Victoria.<\/p>\n
Barwon Health chief executive officer Fracis Diver said she was grateful for the regional funding.<\/p>\n
