{"id":18065,"date":"2018-10-11T09:32:06","date_gmt":"2018-10-10T22:32:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=18065"},"modified":"2018-10-11T23:18:45","modified_gmt":"2018-10-11T12:18:45","slug":"epworth-promotes-veterans-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/epworth-promotes-veterans-health\/","title":{"rendered":"Epworth promotes veterans\u2019 health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A RECENT morning tea at Epworth Geelong promoted the good health and wellbeing of veterans and ex-servicepeople from across the Geelong region.<\/p>\n<p>The event at the Waurn Ponds private hospital was supported by the Department of Veterans Affairs and was held as part of Veterans\u2019 Health Week, which focused on nutrition.<\/p>\n<p>Epworth Geelong veterans liaison Susie Thomas said highlighting the importance of improving and maintaining good health was something the hospital took very seriously, and so too did Luson Aged Care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEpworth Geelong has invested in this area with our restaurant kitchen or room service model.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPatients order their meals when they feel like eating between 7am and 9pm and our chefs prepare and cook fresh and healthy meals to order.
