Photo: Supplied.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Albanese confirmed the terms of the agreement allow the federal government to direct where the additional fuel supply will be sent, with <a href=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/locals-asked-to-not-panic-buy-fuel\/\">regional areas expected to be prioritised<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has not business as usual,\u201d Albanese said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImportantly, this is additional supply here in Australia that they will be able to source.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs part of this agreement, of course, the government can direct where that supply goes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes after it was confirmed an additional two shipments of crude oil had been secured by Viva Energy in March.<\/p>\n<p>The Geelong refinery has also <a href=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/geelong-refinery-boosts-diesel-output-as-fuel-runs-short\/\">increased diesel output in the past month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Conflict in the Middle East has impacted fuel supply chains across the country.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Additional fuel will flow through Geelong\u2019s refinery under a new deal between Viva Energy and Export Finance Australia (EFA).
