Geelong Venom has landed a major signing for 2026, securing one of the WNBL’s premier guards on a two-year deal.<\/p>\n
Australian Opals star Bec Cole will join the club, reuniting with incoming coach Cheryl Chambers after their successful stint at the Southside Flyers.<\/p>\n
It was under Chambers’ guidance that Cole produced some of her best basketball, thriving in a system built on defensive pressure, sharp off-ball movement and decisive shot-making.<\/p>\n
Since her WNBL debut, Cole has established herself as one of the league’s most dynamic and competitive guards.<\/p>\n
She has consistently produced at an elite level, combining creative scoring with a defensive intensity that has drawn admiration from coaches and opponents alike.<\/p>\n
Cole said Geelong was a club on the rise, with Chambers\u2019 appointment adding to the appeal.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know how she coaches and some of my best basketball has come under her,” Cole said. “I\u2019m incredibly excited to get to work and help build something special here with the Venom.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chambers described Cole as a player who elevates everyone around her.<\/p>\n

Cole’s arrival, alongside the signing of co-captain Alex Sharp, gives Chambers a strong foundation for 2026.<\/p>\n
