After illness forced the cancellation of Nick Barker and the Heartache State\u2019s (HAS) show back in July, the boys are returning to the Torquay Bowling Club this November.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Three years ago, the band – that\u2019s been playing together on and off for the past 15 years – got together and hammered a bunch of ideas into songs that became their self-titled album.<\/p>\n

Performing all their hits, the Sunday afternoon gig on November 4 is the perfect way to wind up Melbourne Cup weekend celebrations.<\/p>\n

The show which promises to be a big one is also the bands last Victorian gig for 2018, supported by local blues duo Lazy Bones; born of the blues played from the soul, Lazy Bones consists of Paul Carollo on guitars\/vocals with Russell Allan on drums who stomp out their own brand of stripped-back Surf Coast roots music.<\/p>\n

Nick Barker is a familiar face in the Australian music scene. Since fronting Nick Barker and the Reptiles he has released nine solo albums and toured internationally.<\/p>\n

For the last four years the focus has been on his four-piece rock band HAS, which consists of long-time friends Justin Garner, Michael Hubbard on bass and Venom on drums.<\/p>\n

The HAS is a lively bar band that describe their sound as \u201craggedy ass rock \u2018n\u2019 roll\u201d with catchy songs and has released two albums.<\/p>\n
