This approach empowers individuals to remain as independent as possible and enjoy meaningful activities around their unique talents and abilities.<\/p>\n<p>All staff receive Montessori training to ensure everyone is working towards the same goal to support each resident to live the fullest life possible.<\/p>\n<p>Their lifestyle team learn about the interests and abilities of each resident and provide meaningful activities for them. Residents love the buffet-style dining room that enables them to be independent and serve themselves from a selection of meals.<\/p>\n<p>Star of the Sea also has a Memory Support Unit, a designated wing designed for people with dementia. The Memory Support Unit supports 16 individuals and offers them intimate spaces to enjoy and tailored lifestyle activities.
