THE state\u2019s 22nd edition of Experience Culture Victoria has hit the streets, showcasing must-see destinations and experiences across Geelong and the Bellarine.<\/p>\n
A Cultural Tourism Victoria (CTV) initiative \u2013 the state\u2019s body not-for-profit arts and culture organisation \u2013 the guide features more than 170 attractions from around the state.<\/p>\n
CTV Chair Jon Mamonski said increasing public interest in Victorian lifestyle has cultivated tourism growth in the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the past year Cultural Tourism in Victoria was valued at $27 billion and growing. The reasons for families settling in Victoria ahead of any other state are clear \u2013 it\u2019s a great place to live, work and play with many of Australia\u2019s most visited culture destinations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile Melbourne\u2019s arts, heritage and culture are globally renowned, there\u2019s also a wealth of cultural experiences waiting to be discovered in Geelong and on the Bellarine.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 2018\/19 edition stems from 22 years of guide destinations and locating Victoria\u2019s hidden treasures.<\/p>\n
Along with its latest guide, CTV is also working on a new visitor focused digital platform to go hand in hand with the printed guide.<\/p>\n
The guide has been designed in partnership with local and regional tourism boards, councils including City of Greater Geelong, destinatio operators, artists, artisans as well as the Inner Melbourne Action Plan Tourism Working Group (IMAP TWG).<\/p>\n
It will be distributed across Victoria at visitor information centres, popular tourism attractions and transport hubs by select accommodation providers.<\/p>\n
