Multi-instrumentalist Jay Hoad is coming back to Australia after a huge year of touring throughout Europe and the Pacific Islands, performing at some of the biggest festivals worldwide.<\/p>\n
With three Victorian shows scheduled on his Australian tour, Hoad will perform at the Torquay Hotel on Saturday, December 15 bringing an unforgettable musical experience.<\/p>\n
Hoad was in Australia at the beginning of 2018 performing at Tamworth Music Festival NSW as well as shows in Queensland and the Adelaide Fringe in South Australia.<\/p>\n
This year he\u2019s performed over 160 shows across 15 countries, and next year is shaping up to be very similar with festival performances scheduled for India and Europe after the Australian Tour wraps up mid-2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe couldn\u2019t think of a better place to begin the Australian tour than Victoria, I absolutely love this part of the world and I\u2019ve got a few days of downtime after the show so looking forward to checking out some of the countryside,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cDefinitely going to juice me with good vibes to take around the Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hoad also has two new albums due for release on March 10, 2019 which he will launch in conjunction with the Adelaide Fringe Festival finale party, before he takes his new sound around the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cGot some awesome new guitars on this tour, that\u2019s another reason I love being in Australia. One of my best friends and incredible guitar builder Craig Koen is in Port Lincoln, South Australia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cCraig has come up with so many unique instruments for me over the years, and we have been working a little more closely together conceptualising and tweaking some new designs lately.<\/p>\n
\u201cCan\u2019t really say what we have been working on lately, but I guarantee if you come to the shows you will see some incredibly unique and mind-blowing instruments; the best thing of all is I can actually ride one of the new guitars to work!\u201d<\/p>\n
Hoad said he was excited about this year\u2019s tour with so many cool locations and festivals on various legs allowing him to bring his new tunes and instruments to fans around the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy favourite instrument on this tour is probably the new industrial punk guitar which is made from car and motorcycle parts, gas bottles, etc and sounds incredible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut that may all change when these new guitars are finished later next month. I\u2019ve been working on plenty of new material and so excited to drop some of these new tracks at this shows. See you guys soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
