In A Grade, it was the master Gavin Sheahan [12] finishing on the best score of the day, 40 points, over David Mallett [3] on 39 points. B Grade saw a tight contest, with Keith Rixon [20] winning on a c\/b over Paul Beighton, with both competitors closing out their round on 38 points. The ball pool ran down the line to 36 points, with Charlie Celi (5th hole, 1.62m) and Milton Tattersall (13th hole, 1.90) taking home both of the nearest to pins.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday December 6 Stableford off the Red Tees for the Ladies in today\u2019s competition. Mandee Trevena [40] took the competition by storm, finishing up on a massive 46 points! Unbelievable effort Mandee! Margaret Parsons [45] was the<br \/>\nrunner up, ending her round on 38 points. The ball pool ran down the line to 34 points, Marjorie Bayard (7th hole) and Jan Swain (17th hole) taking home the nearest to pins.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday December 8 Men Stableford Blue Tees. Today\u2019s morning group took advantage of the calm conditions and put up some great scores before the afternoon winds kicked up. In Grade A: Alex \u201cthe real deal\u201d Makkreel [7] 42 topped Ivan Kevric<br \/>\n[9] with 40. Grade B: P Kelly [20] put a whopping 45 to take the top spot over S Sutcliffe [14] on 41. Grade C: M Sitch [22] made the most of the last 4 holes to put up 37 point edging Ray Chappell [27] with 35. Nearest Pin: C \u201cI have a home\u201d Hoffmann (5th). Nearest Pin: M White (7th).<\/p>\n<p>Sunday December 9 Black Tee challenge, Guest Day, Stableford Medley, White\/Gold tee. Great weather conditions today for the Sands guest day.. Slight breeze but the sun was shining for most of the day. Over 120 players on the field today, with plenty of members guests enjoying our beautiful course. The winner today in the Black Tee challenge was Matt Chalmers (12), with a fantastic score of 40 points!, runner up was Chris Bell (12), with a great score of 36 points The winner today off the white tees (par) was Peter Conquest (16), with a score of +6, great score Peter!, runner up was Walter Futschik (16), (Cape Shank Golf Club) with a score of +3, great score Walter!<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRO SHOP NEWS<\/strong><br \/>\nBuy any polo top, shorts or pants and get the second item HALF PRICE.
