Closure on Geelong-<\/strong>Bacchus Marsh Road<\/strong>
\nTHE Geelong-bound lane of Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road will be closed until the end of February between the intersections of Granite Road and Windermere Road, while VicRoads undertake important safety upgrades. Signed detours will be in place. Southbound traffic heading towards Geelong will be redirected to turn left into Granite Road, right onto Sandy Creek Road, to continue along Forest Road North, then right into Windermere Road and left back onto Geelong Bacchus Marsh Road. Northbound traffic towards Bacchus Marsh can continue along Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road with reduced speed limits.<\/p>\n

Good season predicted\u00a0<\/strong>for King George whiting<\/strong>
\nVICTORIAN fishers have welcomed the news that high numbers of juvenile King George whiting have been surveyed in Port
\nPhillip Bay for the third consecutive year. Victorian Fisheries Authority chief executive officer Travis Dowling said this strong yearclass of whiting joined good years in 2017 and 2018, meaning excellent fishing for the species could be expected this summer and beyond into the early 2020s. \nSPORT Australia says a new $28.9 million participation grants program will build on the strong foundation of the \u201cMove It AUS\u201d platform, giving sport and physical activity providers even more resources to improve the health and wellbeing of all Australians. Applications have opened for the Move It AUS\u2013 Participation grants program, which will be managed by Sport Australia.
