Peter and Julie Walker had been\u00a0<\/strong>living in their Grovedale home for\u00a0<\/strong>34 years, before they stopped in at\u00a0<\/strong>the QUAY2 Torquay sales office by\u00a0<\/strong>chance a few weeks ago, fell in love\u00a0<\/strong>with the development and decided\u00a0<\/strong>to buy a three-bedroom townhome\u00a0<\/strong>called \u201cThe Lonsdale\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cOur townhome is part of the limited\u00a0edition \u2018alfresco series\u2019 featuring resortstyle living and a premium landscape package, as part of the 2019 Summer Garden Collection, we\u2019re very excited and feel like it\u2019s a real fresh start for us,\u201d Mr Walker said.<\/p>\n

They built their Grovedale home when they had three sons, all now grown up and living out of home.<\/p>\n

Aged in their sixties, the upkeep on their large 1200m block was becoming increasingly hard.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Lonsdale still has plenty of room for our boys to stay and with a grandchild we will set up one room just for them,\u201d Mr Walker said.<\/p>\n

There are also playgrounds in the QUAY2 development in walking distance, as well as room for family get-togethers on the Walker\u2019s rooftop terrace or alfresco dining area, where they can soak up the evening sun and a movie on the outdoor, wall-mounted television.<\/p>\n

In the day, the family can shade under a mixed canopy of laser-cut panels and creepers across the overhead arbour reclining on the day bed, which features removable cushions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are so many great inclusions, such as reverse cycle air conditioning in the three bedrooms and lounge, as well as double-glazing and photo-voltaic solar panels,\u201d Mr Walker explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe alfresco has a fridge and television, as well as a wall mounted, mains gas barbecue \u2013 the list just goes on and on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Each home has also been created to complement QUAY2\u2019s environmentallyfriendly focus, with thoughtfullydesigned streetscapes, parks and even a community orchard.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve found everything excellent and the sales team have been a great help \u2013 they can\u2019t do enough for you,\u201d Mr Walker said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so easy \u2013 you only have to make one choice, the light or dark colour scheme, and then everything is done.\u201d<\/p>\n
