A sea of purple covered the Bellarine Peninsula in support of Maddie Riewoldt\u2019s Vision on the weekend, with the second instalment of \u201cMaddie\u2019s Day On The Purple\u201d bringing in over $61,000 for bone marrow failure research.<\/p>\n
Celebrity and amateur golfers gathered together at Clifton Springs Golf Club to have a hit and raise money for rare blood disorders including aplastic anaemia, the condition that tragically took Maddie Riewoldt\u2019s life when she was just 26-years-old.<\/p>\n
Established by the Riewoldt family in June 2015 soon after her passing, Maddie Riewoldt\u2019s Vision honours her five-year health battle and works towards funding medical research and supporting patients.<\/p>\n
Nick Riewoldt, ex St Kilda footballer Leigh Montagna, professional golfer Geoff Ogilvy, former Carlton player Ang Christou, comedian Lehmo, Geelong footballers Cam Guthrie and Mitch Duncan, media personalities Mark \u2018Robbo\u2019 Robinson, Sam Newman and David King spent their Sunday advocating for the cause dressed in purple, while the Clifton Springs community rallied behind the event.<\/p>\n
