IT has been a fantastic holiday period here at Curlewis.<\/p>\n
Despite some very hot days it has been fantastic to see so many members and visitors taking advantage of the summer holidays. Despite the conditions Rob and his ground staff team have done a tremendous job on keeping the course in fantastic condition. The warmer weather has not cooled down the scoring at all as some of the scoring in our member competitions has been very impressive! We look to continue seeing everyone out on course!<\/p>\n

Eagles: Ben Henkel (14th) on Monday; Brendan Wallis (14th) on Wednesday. Saturday saw 3 more Eagles; Josh Vrbovski on the 5th; Royce Vardy on 14 and Glenn Cornish on 18.<\/p>\n
Sunday January 20: Mixed PAR: 45 Players. Georgie Sanders (22) won easily with +6 from visitor Brendan Vanderwerf (18 \u2013 SGA GC) on +3.<\/p>\n
Monday January 21: Men Stableford: 93 Players \u2013 A) Lachlan Bassett (3) and our new Trainee Pro, had a great start with 42 to win on C\/B from Will Johnston (9). B) Andy Maloney (25) went one better with 43, relegating James Tennant (25) to runner up with 42. Women: 32 Players. Izzy Sweetapple (26) won by 3 with 40 from Alyson Slimmon (17) 37. Green Tees: Daniel Hurley (33) 41. NTP: 8th \u2013 Sunny Choong, 17th & Golden Shot Winner \u2013 Steve McNamara (1.96m & $103).<\/p>\n
Tuesday January 22: Women Stableford 9 Holes: 43 Players – Fiona Fitzpatrick needed the C\/B to separate her from Diane Smith, with both scoring 20.<\/p>\n
Wednesday January 23: Men Stableford: 174 Players. Another glorious day in Paradise! A) Michael Pring (12) 43 from Greg Bishop (5) 42. B) Greg Taylor (15) had his best round ever with 45, leaving the leftovers to Bryan Schaeche (16) 41. C) John Eastgate (21) won by 3 with his 41 from Craig Robinson (19). D) Michael Fraser (22) won by 4 with 44 from Denis Breuer (24). Green Tees: Graham Blood (36) 41. NTP: 4th \u2013 Peter Lewis, 8th \u2013 Michael Davies, 13th \u2013 Malcom Wright, 17th & Golden Shot Winner \u2013 Michael Fraser (1.18m & $154).<\/p>\n
Thursday January 24: Women\u2019s Stableford; 46 Players. A) Wendy Tottenham (6) was victorious with 40 from Jill Pring (7) 38. B) Estelle Steele (37) won on C\/B with 37 from Jean Cowley (33)<\/p>\n
Saturday January 26: Men PAR; 163 Players \u2013 After the heat wave of the last 2 days the course was excellent and conditions were rife for great scoring. A) Stephen Broom (6) shot 2 Under +7 to edge out Marty Chaffey (8) on +6. B) Ziggy Witcombe (12) also notched up +7 with John Falk (14) close behind on +6. C) Sam Grigg (20) won by1 with +4 from Allan Ordona (24).<\/p>\n
