The afternoon sunshine accommodated 24 teams, with event organisers and bowls club staff on deck to lend a helping hand. Sponsored by Torquay Storage, Wyndham Resort Torquay and Peachs Torquay, participants enjoyed a morning tea at 9.30am before starting play on the lawn at 10am to compete in three games of 10 ends.
