Federal Minister for Energy Angus Taylor and Corangamite federal member Sarah Henderson visited Adventure Park last week to discuss the Morrison Government\u2019s energy efficient measures.<\/p>\n
Adventure Park, which is open for six months of the year between October and April, has a high level power usage with 250,000 visitors annually, 300 casual staff and 18 full-time staff.<\/p>\n
Mr Taylor said the Liberal National Government\u2019s energy policy was delivering for businesses to improve competition, increase supply, and reduce wholesale energy prices.<\/p>\n
As part of the $3.5 billion Climate Solutions Package, the Coalition is providing $50 million in grants \u2013 through our new Energy Efficient Communities Program \u2013 to eligible businesses and community organisations to help them save energy
\nby either installing new equipment or by reviewing and improving their energy management.<\/p>\n
Eligible small businesses will be able to claim grants of up to $20,000, high-energy using businesses up to $25,000, and community groups up to $12,500.<\/p>\n
Ms Henderson said it was terrific to visit Adventure Park with Minister Taylor to discuss the importance of reducing energy costs for businesses in Corangamite.<\/p>\n
