HEAD to Murphys on March 17 for their annual St Patrick\u2019s Day Festival and celebrate in style, taking in views of the city from the Rooftop Bar and third-level garden in the sky.<\/p>\n
Kicking off at 8am with a traditional Irish breakfast (complete with black pudding and soda bread) followed by a string of performances in the Front Bar and carpark.<\/p>\n
Geelong-born Irish-loving band The Go Set, this year\u2019s headline act, is a Celtic rock band that has toured the UK, Europe and USA.<\/p>\n
They have headlined the Port Fairy Folk Festival and will make this year\u2019s St Patrick\u2019s Festival a day to remember.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a designated family area with free face-painting, fairy floss, popcorn and more for the family during the day and a
\ngiant inflatable pub serving up ice-cold drinks outside.<\/p>\n
Geelong\u2019s original and authentic St Patrick\u2019s Day celebration will include free entry before 4pm and $10 after and Murphys co-owner Shaun Aspinall said it is the best place to celebrate this year\u2019s Paddy\u2019s day.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the biggest event on the Murphys calendar, paying homage to our Irish history.<\/p>\n
There is only one day we close off the street and extend the bar to the carpark, it\u2019s a day not to be missed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The festival will be held across all three-levels of Murphys and will spill into the carpark and surrounding Coronation Street for everybody\u2019s favourite street party.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I have one piece of advice to anyone thinking of attending get in early with free entry before 4pm, as this is gearing up to be the biggest festival yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
