CHILDREN at Jan Juc Preschool can now enjoy a new addition in their play area thanks to fundraising efforts from Jan Juc Preschool\u2019s Parent Advisory Group (PAG).<\/p>\n
Local artist Mark Trinham used wood from a gum tree which was removed from the area to create a sculpture garden of fungi, beetles and a giant butterfly resting on a flower.<\/p>\n
Campaigning by Jan Juc Preschool\u2019s PAG helped pay for the work as well as a grant from Surf Coast Shire\u2019s Small Grants Program.<\/p>\n
Jan Juc Preschool wishes to thank past PAG members, Surf Coast Shire as well as local businesses and the wider community who have supported the project.<\/p>\n
The sculpture accompanies a vegetable garden, fruit trees, outdoor library, sandpit and dirt pit. Plans are now underway for the addition of a dry creek bed.<\/p>\n
Jan Juc Preschool offers kindergarten for children aged 3-6. Enrolments for 2020 are now open until 16 June 2019.<\/p>\n
Parents and families interested in touring the preschool are invited to attend an information evening on May 1 between 4.30pm and 6.30pm. The preschool\u2019s open day is on May 4 from 11am-1pm.<\/p>\n
