THE City of Greater Geelong is on the lookout for photos captured by amateur and professional photographers to feature in next year\u2019s COGG calendar.<\/p>\n
Each year the city prints a wall calendar free of charge to residents which is delivered to over 100,000 households. The calendar is available in the second week of December.<\/p>\n
The COGG is eager to include photos that highlight what locals love about the Greater Geelong region.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe all know Geelong is a fantastic place to live and visit but we want to see what you love about our region and what makes you proud to live in Geelong,\u201d Geelong Mayor Bruce Harwood said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether it’s the flora and fauna in the Geelong Botanic Gardens, a quirky or historic building that catches your eye, your favourite beach at sunset or one of our major events, there’s so much to capture in our region.\u201d<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s competition will accept photos from four categories including landscapes, architecture and urban spaces, nature, events and people.<\/p>\n
Entries are now open and close on Friday August 30 2019. The public will vote on the 13 final images showcased in the 2020 COGG calendar. Each image will include a photo credit to the winning photographers on the COGG\u2019s website and across social media.<\/p>\n
